My dear booklover friends -- whoever or wherever you are ;o)

No matter how varied your preferences in books, or how involved your individual relationship with them -- as readers, critics, librarians, publishers, writers, booksellers, collectors, or even as those who just love to be physically surrounded by them -- I would love to be with you all.

I enjoy books that I can touch, feel, and smell, as well as see and read, e.g. 17th-19th century octavos/quartos/folios in full morocco fine bindings, with richly-gilt spines and gilt/marbled edges, and illustrated with numerous woodblock/steel engravings or chromolithographs.

And so, before I get carried away, I invite you to post your lively comments and contributions. I look forward to a wholesome enjoyment in your company.
